'Tis the Season for Frankincense!

This is a message put together by Megan Roberts (a friend of Chad & Amy's):

You are invited to an event honoring Chad and Amy. Currently in Chad's fight against cancer he is using a lot of Frankincense oil, which has become costly. There is an opportunity to help them get it for free, and help ease the burden but only for about another week.

Next week on Thursday night (in West Jordan) and Saturday day (in the Riverdale area) we will be holding events. You're invited to come out and join us. Come and learn a little about the essential oils, and why they have been such an amazing help to Chad in his fight, enjoy some foods with essential oils in them, and help us in our quest to provide The Buckners with enough Frankincense for an entire year.

If you are unable to attend but would like to donate, we would love to get in contact with you and give you more information to do that. Also we are trying to get an idea on a number of people so we can confirm some locations. Please RSVP so we can get a better count on who might be interested in coming.

Also if there is anyone who would be willing to help me spread the word about this great opportunity, especially in the Riverdale area, I would be very grateful. I understand this is a busy and hard time of year, but I want more than anything to help this very deserving family out in any way possible.

For now, please leave a comment (as well as your email address) letting us know if you can come. We're still solidifying details and will contact you as they are available.

Still available!!

We still have 4 medical exams at Coldwater Animal Hospital in North Ogden that have been donated. We are asking only $20 for each exam. If you are interested, please contact Renae Zentz at rhzentz@gmail.com and 100% of what you pay will go straight to Chad. Check out their website here.

Pictures are here!

In no particular order...{please excuse the fact that I was clearly running on adrenaline and lack of sleep so I'm ever so slightly hyper in these pictures...}

We are so glad Chad and family were able to join us towards the end. We know it probably wasn't an easy decision to make but it really changed the spirit of the day and we were so happy to see them!

And in case you're wondering--we SURPASSED our goal by several thousand dollars! We can never thank everyone enough for all their hard work, time, lack of sleep, organization, talents, dedication, love and commitment to this event.

The raffle was a hit! {This was the beginning and the tickets had just started to trickle in}

The fire department stopped by for a while and hung out. They dropped off some Junior Firefighter hats and were so cool :)

We were able to take debit and credit cards which was so awesome! I can't believe how handy this little gadget was. Thanks again, Megan!

I'm sorry Rachel, it's too funny not to share...haha.  Desperate times call for desperate measures...

 I think a special shout out is in order to Renae Zentz who really took the reins in Riverdale and there is absolutely NO WAY we could have come close to our goal without her help. She was the key to the success of this event so thank you Renae! I need a picture of you if your'e reading this... ;)

The finishing touches

We've got 3.5 billion (okay, maybe a few less than that) posters and signs up, the city is LITERALLY speckled with them. I just found out that we are doing a raffle for some superb gift certificates to AWESOME places and I just got a text saying that the Piano Gallery is dropping off AN ORGAN.  Yes my friends--an organ.

Is anyone else's head swirling?

There's a good chance we'll now be accepting credit cards so don't let that keep you away. Come hungry, come thirsty and ready to shop!

See you TOMORROW! I will be taking lots and lots of pictures. :D in my typical RaeLynn style...
